XXXVIII FIMN "MANUEL ENRÍQUEZ" 2016
RODRIGO VALDEZ HERMOSO's music was selected for eighth time to be part of the FORO INTERNACIONAL DE MÚSICA NUEVA "MANUEL ENRÍQUEZ" / INBA / SECRETARÍA DE CULTURA.
For this ocassion the selected piece was -La Mansión de Araucaíma- (Homage to Álvaro Mutis) for mixed choir, which will have its mexican premiere during the festival.
-La Mansión de Araucaíma-, was commissioned by the UNIANDES CHOIR with the generous support of IBERMÚSICAS, the Department of Music at the University of the Andes, UNIANDES (CO), and the Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes, INBA (MX). The XXXVIII FIMN is sponsored by the Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes (INBA) and the Ministry of Culture of MEXICO. It will take place from September to October, 2016. The Foro Internacional de Música Nueva "MANUEL ENRÍQUEZ" is one of the most important festivals of contemporary music in the American Continent. Each year, more than 25 concerts are presented including premieres by composers from all around the world.
La Música del compositor RODRIGO VALDEZ HERMOSO ha sido seleccionada por octava ocasión para formar parte del programa del FORO INTERNACIONAL DE MÚSICA NUEVA "MANUEL ENRÍQUEZ" / INBA / SECRETARÍA DE CULTURA.
En está ocasión la obra seleccionada es -La Mansión de Araucaíma- (Homenaje coral a Álvaro Mutis), misma que fue comisionada por el Coro UNIANDES y realizada con el generoso apoyo del Programa de Fomento de las Músicas Iberoamericanas (IBERMÚSICAS), la Universidad de los Andes (UNIANDES) y el Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes (INBA), la cual tendrá su estreno mexicano durante el festival.
El XXXVIII FIMN es organizado por el Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes (INBA), así como por la Secretaría de Cultura. Tendrá lugar durante septiembre y octubre de 2016.
El Foro Internacional de Música Nueva "MANUEL ENRÍQUEZ", es uno de los festivales de música contemporanea de mayor tradición e importancia en el continente americano. Cada año se presentan más de 25 conciertos en el marco del festival, incluyendo estrenos mundiales de compositores originarios de diversas naciones.
