ARTIST IN RESIDENCE 2013 WITH CALQ
RODRIGO VALDEZ HERMOSO was appointed by the CONSEIL DES ARTS ET DES LETTRES DU QUEBEC (CALQ) as ARTIST IN RESIDENCE 2013.
VALDEZ HERMOSO will be on residence with CALQ in Montreal City during the fall-winter semester of 2013. The composer has agreed to compose a piece for Symphony Orchestra as well as a String Quartet as part of the project. Both pieces will be part of the repertoire of leading ensambles of Quebec.
As part of the activities that RODRIGO VALDEZ HERMOSO will perform during the residence, he has been invited to offer some conferences or a composition workshop at the CONSERVATORIE DE MUSIQUE DE MONTREAL. This project is made possible by an agreement between the governments of México and Quebec through the FONDO NACIONAL PARA LA CULTURA Y LAS ARTES (FONCA) and the CONSEIL DES ARTS ET DES LETTRES DU QUEBEC (CALC).
